Five years ago this book read like prophecy. On the reread, half of it still does, while the other half reads like a horoscope: true enough for anyone, useless for someone.

The chapters on luck and on “enough” held up best, mostly because my own ledger now agrees with them. The optimism about rare wins aged worse; it’s easier to admire volatility from a chapter than from a February with $440 collected.

Worth rereading? Yes, but only after you have a ledger of your own to argue with it.
